FAREWELL CURATED
I want to share some bittersweet news with you. After four years and 50 projects, Curated by ITF has now come to a close.
This was been an easy decision. Curated has been such a special part of my journey, and I know it has been for many of you too. Together we explored new skills, sewed garments we return to again and again, and built a community that stretches across the world. I am deeply proud of what we created together.
Over time, I realised that the pace of a monthly membership - with new patterns and resources every month - no longer felt sustainable. Not for me, not for our small team, and I don’t think for our members either. It is important to me that the work we create continues to feel thoughtful, inspiring and achievable—never rushed. To make space for that, I knew it was time to let Curated go.
This isn’t an ending so much as a pause and a turning point. I’ve been taking some time to rest and reflect, and I feel hopeful about what’s next for In the Folds. If you’re curious about the in-between bits—the behind-the-scenes, the figuring-it-out part—you can follow along on Substack at Beyond the Folds. That’s where I’m sharing updates (and probably a few unfinished thoughts too).
Our community platform
We will continue to keep our online community on Mighty Networks until June 2026 to give our all members a chance to catch up and work through any tutorials you have been meaning to try. We will continue to be available to support you too.
What’s next: Making, Again
If you’re missing the feeling of being gently guided back to your sewing practice - but without the pressure - I’ve created something new.
Making, Again is a slower, more spacious invitation to return to making that we will be launching in January 2026. Small experiments. Flexible rhythms. No deadlines to keep up with. Just thoughtful prompts designed to help you reconnect with your wardrobe, your skills, and your creative instincts, at your own pace.
You can learn more and sign up to be the first to hear about it below.
Thank you to our community
Mostly, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for sewing with me. Thank you for being part of this community. Your support, generosity and creativity have shaped Curated into something far more meaningful than I could have imagined when it began. It’s been a real privilege to share this space with you.
Happy sewing,
Emily
