Tell me a bit about yourself: Hi! I'm Betty and I have been sewing for about two years now, and I couldn't enjoy it more!

What In the Folds size do you wear? (Very few of us fit into a pattern straight out of the envelope. You can choose as many of these as you need). : Size C, Size E

Which pattern did you use?: The Pleated Skirt

What type of fabric did you make the garment/s from?: I used a quite basic green cotton fabric, mid-weight

What alterations (if any) did you make to the pattern/s?: Since my hips are way bigger than my waist (there's a 2 size difference between them from the measurements), I scaled the pattern from a size C in the waist to a size E for my hips

If you made this pattern/s again, would you do anything differently?: I have loved this pattern so much. I wouldn't change a thing!

What would be your top tip for other makers using this pattern/s?: I am relatively new to sewing since I don't have much time to practice, but I found this pattern so easy to use. The best advice I can think of to any fellow beginners is to read the instructions for the pattern carefully.

I'd love to hear about a happy memory from when you made or wore this garment or garments!: I just feel like I am living in the 40s when wearing this skirt! It has such a vintage feel and it looks adorable. Plus it was so much fun to make!

What do you love most about In the Folds patterns?: They are so incredibly well designed and explained! I have sewn from other commercial patterns and I just never knew whether I was doing everything right, but this pattern made me feel so confident in my sewing and it was just fantastic.
