Tell us a bit about yourself: I'm a mama and a medical researcher who sews for me time...this is the first garment I've sewn in awhile since having my kids. My mum and both my grandmothers are excellent makers, mum is particularly awesome at patchwork quilts and one grandma is an amazing seamstress. The other grandma is a great all rounder, and she knits and crochets amazing too. They all taught me how to sew and instilled a love of making things myself. I'm hoping to pass this onto my own kids too when they’re a bit bigger. I'm looking forward to making more now and learning new skills!

What In the Folds size do you wear? : Size F

What bust cup size do you normally make / wear?: F cup

Which pattern did you use?: Peppermint playsuit

What type of fabric did you make the garment/s from?: Linen

What alterations (if any) did you make to the pattern/s?: I moved the invisible zip to the front seam so I could open it for nursing access. I also created some darts at the top just by pinching in the sides as I couldn't figure out how to do a FBA with the playsuit being all in one.

If you made this pattern/s again, would you do anything differently?: I want to make this again with a heavier linen, add back pockets and maybe a front pocket on the bib (and take the current pockets out). and make wider straps that button onto the front perhaps. And maybe a buttons down the front instead of the zip.

What would be your top tip for other makers using this pattern/s?: Make a muslin tester. I did and I'm glad (plus I love it too, so I now have a bonus one to wear around the house!)

I'd love to hear about a happy memory from when you made or wore this garment or garments!: Most things are happy when I wear this, partly due to the sunny pineapple print and mostly because it is just so incredibly comfy and practical. How can I have a bad day when I'm wearing something so happy :-)

What do you love most about In the Folds patterns?: Very clear diagrams and instructions. This is the first time I've successfully nailed an invisible zip first go, all thanks to how clearly it was explained and the tip to iron the zip first!
